STORY: "Mikael Blomkvist, publisher of Millennium magazine, has made his living exposing the crooked and corrupt practices of establishment Swedish figures. So when a young journalist approaches him with a meticulously researched thesis about sex trafficking in Sweden and those in high office who abuse underage girls, Blomkvist immediately throws himself into the investigation." - As posted on RottenTomatoes.com on 7/09/2010.

STARRING: Noomi Rapace (as Lisbeth Salander), Michael Nyqvist (as Mikael Blomkvist), Lena Endre (as Erika Berger) and others.

REVIEW #1: Title: "An excellent, fast-moving thriller" [10/10 stars]

"I've read Stieg Larsson's whole trilogy and loved it. The first movie based on the books, Men Who Hate Women (or Girl With a Dragon Tattoo), was excellent, and this one, 'The Girl Who Played With Fire,' is even better. It's a fast-paced, tough, smart and exciting movie and its living, breathing soul is the enticing character of Lisbeth Salander, played by the amazing Noomi Rapace."

"The movie picks up right where the last movie left off, so in order to understand and enjoy it fully, you either need to have read [the first book] or seen the previous movie. This is one of the best thrillers I've seen in a long while, so it's definitely worth a watch..."

"Also, Michael Nyqvist, the actor who plays Mikael Blomkvist, is perfect for his part. Even though he and Lisbeth have very few scenes together, the chemistry that was created between them in the previous film has carried over beautifully into this. Do read the books and watch the movies, you won't regret it!" - Written by "Cissy" on IMDB.com

REVIEW #2: Title: "I'm surprised once again..." [10/10 stars]

"...This is a great movie in every aspect. Granted, I have never read the books, but I will as soon as the last movie comes out, as I don't want to spoil the ending for myself now."

"...This is, in every way, one of the best Swedish movies ever made and, as a movie, it is way better than the first part... The cast are all great actors and actresses, there's a dark, raw, sometimes gritty tone... Every scene, twist and turn has me sitting as if I sat on nails. I loved every second and I can't wait for the last part..." - Written by "DaSeAl" on IMDB.com

REVIEW #3: Title: "A fine sequel" [9/10 stars]

"...I personally thought this movie was riveting, but for different reasons than the first. Firstly, there is a lot of action in this film; I feel it was done well and it kept the film exciting. Secondly, the depths into Lisbeth's past were also revealed very well. If you didn't learn that Lisbeth is untimately very sensitive behind her 'cold' exterior, you learn it from this film."

"...I feel this is, again, a must-see and a very good bridge to the conclusion of this millennium trilogy." - Written by "MusicaEternal" on IMDB.com

(If you can't see the trailer above, see it here)
STORY: "WINTER'S BONE, an official selection of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival’s Dramatic Competition, was the recipient of the Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award."

"17 year-old Ree Dolly (Jennifer Lawrence) sets out to track down her father, who put their house up for his bail bond and then disappeared. If she fails, Ree and her family will be turned out into the Ozark woods. Challenging her outlaw kin’s code of silence and risking her life, Ree hacks through the lies, evasions and threats offered up by her relatives and begins to piece together the truth."

"Based on the novel by Daniel Woodrell, WINTER’S BONE was filmed entirely on location in the Ozarks of Southwestern Missouri on the RED CAMERA" - As posted on RottenTomatoes.com on 7/16/2010.

STARRING: Jennifer Lawrence, John Hawkes, Kevin Breznahan and others.

REVIEW: Title: "Oscar material'" [10/10 stars]

"This is an excellent film, the casting was perfect and, filmed on location in the Ozarks, it's depiction of poor rural mountain life in the South was thoroughly authentic. In another generation, it was moonshine that put these people on the wrong side of the law. Today, it's methamphetamine and OxyContin. As the plot moves forward through this drug subculture, the pride, family loyalty, code of honor and toughness of the people are revealed. Three performances stand out. Jennifer Lawrence never hits a false note as Ree Dolly, the 17 year-old protagonist who takes care of her little brother and sister and her mentally disabled mother. She learns that her father, who cooks methamphetamine, had been arrested and put up their house and land for bail bond. If he doesn't show up for court, they will lose their house, and she must find him. John Hawkes, cast as her uncle, Teardrop, quietly develops his character from someone who is initially menacing and untrustworthy into a man you can faintly admire. And Dale Dickey, as Merab, manages to convey a woman who is tough, mean, capable of violence, yet also honest and reluctantly sympathetic to Ree." - Written by "trescher" on IMDB.com

(If you can't see the trailer above, see it here)
STORY: "With John's social life at a standstill and his ex-wife about to get remarried, a down on his luck divorcée finally meets the woman of his dreams, only to discover she has another man in her life - her son. Still single seven years after the breakup of his marriage, John has all but given up on romance. But at the urging of his ex-wife and best friend Jamie, John grudgingly agrees to join her and her fiancé Tim at a party. To his and everyone else's surprise, he actually manages to meet someone: the gorgeous and spirited Molly. Their chemistry is immediate. The relationship takes off quickly but Molly is oddly reluctant to take the relationship beyond John's house. Perplexed, he follows her home and discovers the other man in Molly's life: her son, Cyrus. A 21-year-old new age musician, Cyrus is his mom's best friend and shares an unconventional relationship with her. Cyrus will go to any lengths to protect Molly and is definitely not ready to share her with anyone, especially John. Before long, the two are locked in a battle of wits for the woman they both love-and it appears only one man can be left standing when it's over." - Written by "Fox Searchlight," as posted on IMDB.com on 7/30/2010.

STARRING: John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, Marisa Tomei and others.

REVIEW #1: "THE SUMMERS BEST, MOST ORIGINAL AND CRAZILY INVENTIVE COMEDY. In a multi-plex crowded with formula rom-coms, Cyrus brims with hilarity and heartbreak. YOU'LL LAUGH 'TIL IT HURTS" - Rolling Stone (as posted on FoxSearchlight.com/Cyrus) on 7/30/2010.

REVIEW #2: "John C. Reilly and Marisa Tomei are effortlessly funny, and whoever thought to cast Jonah Hill, one of Judd Apatow’s regulars, as a dysfunctional, disturbed manchild should be dubbed a genius." - Timeout New York (as posted on FoxSearchlight.com/Cyrus) on 7/30/2010.

REVIEW #3: "Cyrus amuses and unnerves in equal measure. A comedy of discomfort that walks a wonderful line between reality-based emotional honesty and engaging humor, it demonstrates the good things that happen when quirky independent style combines with top-of-the-line acting skill." - LA Times (as posted on FoxSearchlight.com/Cyrus) on 7/30/2010.
